Foreign Minister Gyawali to visit Russia, Serbia from Nov 23 to 30

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali is paying official visits to Russia and Serbia from Nov 23 to 30.

Minister Gyawali will leave for Moscow on November 23, where he is scheduled to hold delegation-level talks with Foreign Minister of the Russia, Sergei Lavrov, on November 25.

On November 26, Gyawali will address the Institute of International Relations in Moscow on Nepal-Russia Relations and Cooperation.

He will also pay courtesy call on Russian political leaders and the representatives of the Non-Resident Nepali Association in Moscow, according to a press release issued by the Foreign Ministry on Thursday.

The Minister will reach Belgrade, the capital of Serbia on November 27.

While in Serbia, Minister Gyawali will hold bilateral talks with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic. He will also meet high-level dignitaries of Serbia.

Moreover, an interaction program with local Chambers of Commerce and Travel and Tour operators is also being organized in Belgrade for investment and tourism promotion.

The Nepali delegation to Russia led by Foreign Minister Gyawali consists of Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, Ambassador of Nepal to Russia, Rishi Ram Ghimire and other government officials.

Similarly, the delegation to Serbia will include Foreign Secretary Bairagi, Non-residential Ambassador of Nepal to Serbia, Ramesh Prasad Khanal, and other government officials.

The delegation will depart for Nepal on November 30, added Foreign Ministry.
