Two individuals of Chinese origin caught with 8 kgs of gold at the TIA
KATHMANDU, Nov 29: Two individuals were caught with 8 Kilograms (Kg) of gold at the Tribhuvan International Airport last evening.
The two people of Chinese origin had landed at the airport at 11 pm local time in Nepal Airlines flight RA-410 from Hong Kong.
They were caught during a routine check by the immigration stated the Nepal Police stationed at the airport.
The individuals had 4 kgs each, and it is yet to be ascertained whether they were the middlemen carriers or the real owners of the gold. The Nepal Police is investigating the case and further details are awaited.
