Onus of responsibility on former PM Dahal

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chair and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is preparing to call for important internal party meetings. In a recent agreement with Prime Minister and Co-chair K.P.Sharma Oli, the latter will be focused on the government while Dahal will be leading the party.

Dahal is now the major leader within the party and his responsibility as the Chairman has given him a new sense of aspiration toward his work. He has been going to several places keeping in mind the by-elections to be held tomorrow.

PM Oli is recovering in the hospital due to his surgery for appendicitis. He is making progress in his health as stated recently by his doctors. According to the advice he will have to take complete rest for several days to weeks. In this time it is Dahal who would be looking after the affairs of the NCP and running the daily business of the party.

Dahal is now planning to call for a meeting of the central as well as the standing committee of the NCP.

According to internal sources, he is also said to be calling the meetings for the organizational secretariat keeping in mind the health of the Prime Minister. He is currently in consultation with all necessary members and will move forward accordingly.
