Bomb explodes in Kaski election center vicinity: Disrupts voting process



KASKI, Nov 30: By-elections in Kaski-2 was temporarily stopped in Naya Bazar Navaprabhat secondary school when a bomb exploded in the vicinity.

Although security measures were taken with active presence and assurance from the authorities, within an hour a bomb exploded.

No damages have been reported but voters have now been frightened to cast their vote.

A youth threw the bomb and ran away from the scene as said by onlookers present in the area. The police are in search of the culprit. The police personnel is also increasing their security presence in order for the voting process to conclude, as said by the Nepal Police stationed in Kaski.

Another bomb was found in Haripurwa municipality ward no-1 election center. The time bomb was found in a drinking water container. The bomb was connected by a wire to a cell phone, said the local police. The police have diffused the bomb which was set to explode during voting.
