Nepal wins gold in Marathon and Wrestling placed second with 214 medals
KATHMANDU: Nepal won gold in 42 Kilometers (KMS) Marathon and Women’s 55 kg Wrestling.
Kiran Singh Bogati won gold for Nepal completing the 42 KMS marathon in 2:21:17 hours.
Sangita Dhami won the gold medal for Women’s 55 kg wrestling defeating Sarker Rime from Bangladesh with points 4-1. The wrestling event was held in Janakpur.
Nepal defeated the Maldives in the football match held at the Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu.
Nepal scored two goals replying to Maldive’s only goal scored in the 17th minute.
Abhishek Rijal and Anant Tamang scored goals for Nepal.
The end of the 7th day has Nepal in second place with 142 medals and India leads with 214.
