Deputy Prime Minister Upendra Yadav resigns: Samajwadi Party formally pulls out of government
KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Upendra Yadav tendered his resignation.
The silence of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) on the two-point agreement and its implementation led Minister Yadav to tender his resignation on moral grounds.
The resignation was submitted this afternoon in the office of the Council of Ministers (CoM). Another Minister of the same party Mohammad Ishtiaq Raya has also resigned from the Urban Development Ministry.
The Samajwadi Party ( Socialist Party) has officially pulled out of the government, according to the committee meeting the party had earlier today.
