NCP central committee meeting deferred till Jan 29

NCP Secretariat meeting

KATHMANDU, Jan 5: A meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Secretariat has put off the ruling party’s central committee meeting untill January 29 citing the upcoming National Assembly election.

“The meeting has been postponed for a few days as the party has to prepare for the NA election,” said party central publicity department deputy chair Surya Thapa.

The central committee meeting was earlier scheduled for January 8.

The party has failed to hold the meeting of the central committee since the unification between the Maoist Center and UML in May 2018.

The nomination filing for the NA election, which has been scheduled for January 23, is taking place today.
