Three killed in trucks collision in Rupandahi, nine injured



KATHMANDU, Jan 28: At least three people have been killed and nine were injured when three trucks collided with each other in Rohini Rural Municipality in Rupandhi on Tuesday.

According to the State Traffic Police, a truck Lu 1 Kha 6745, which was en route to Parasi from Bhairahawa collided with other trucks Na 2 Kha 8481 and Na 5 Kha 7856, both heading toward Bhairahawa from Parasi collided with each other at Sipagadh killing three people on board.

The deceased have been identified as Lalu Kurmi, 35, and Mobikan Kurmi, 30, of Palhinanda Rural Municipality-4 of Nawalparasi and Purna Bahadur Bhujel, 36, of Chatara of Sunsari.

Of the nine injured, Dube Harijan, 47, of Palhinanda Rural municipality-4 of Nawalparasi and Mohan Rai, 27, of Satamata of Sindhuli, who were critically injured, are receiving treatment at Bhairahawa-based Bhim Hospital, said police.
