CM Gurung did not party at his office, says his private secretariat

KATHMANDU, Feb 16: Gandaki Province Chief Minister Prithivi Subba Gurung’s private secretariat has dismissed the reports that Gurung drank alcohol at his workplace on his birthday.

Gurung was dragged into controversy after a video of him indulging in alcohol surfaced on social media, who claimed the chief minister partied at his workplace.

“The relatives of the chief minister had arrived from London to visit him on Feb 14, and since it was his birthday as well, a guest dinner was arranged at his residence. But, the photos and videos taken on the occasion were posted on social media claiming the chief minister drank alcohol at his workplace, which is unfortunate,” stated his private secretariat in a press release on Sunday.

“We want to make it clear that no immoral activities took place during the dinner,” it further reads.
