FSU election postponed indefinitely

KATHMANDU, Feb 18: The Free Student Union election, which was scheduled to be held on Feb 26, has been postponed indefinitely.

A meeting of the Tribhuvan University Executive Council held today decided to defer the FSU election until further notice owing to dispute among the student organizations, said TU Student Welfare Division chief Ganga Bahadur Thapa.

The council had earlier decided to hold the FSU election of Feb 26. But, the Nepali Congress student wing Nepal Student Union had demanded the election be postponed since the date was fixed without consulting it.
