PM Oli’s kidney donor Samikshya discharged from hospital
KATHMANDU, March 11: Samikshya Sangraula, who donated her kidney to Prime Minister K P Shama Oli, has been discharged from the hospital on Wednesday, according to TU Teaching Hospital Managing Director Dr. Prem Krishna Khadka.
Prime Minister’s 32-year-old niece was admitted to hospital last Monday.
She has met PM Oli and inquired about his health before her discharge.
But, the prime minister, who has shown a remarkable recovery in his health, will be discharged only after the doctors become sure he will not develop any complication once he is discharged.
His personal physician Dr. Divya Singh on Tuesday said that they have decided to keep the prime minister at the hospital for a while, and even if he is discharged he “will need at least six months to make a complete recovery”.
Oli underwent his second kidney transplant at the TUTH on a week ago.
