NC lawmakers demand closing House sessions, schools
KATHMANDU, March 12: Nepali Congress lawmakers have demanded the federal parliament put off the meetings of House of Representatives and National Assembly citing coronavirus.
Speaking in the House meeting on Thursday, NC lawmaker Bhimsen Das Pradhan argued that conducting meetings regularly would put the lawmakers at the risk of infection.
He also advised that the schools should be closed.
“If the infection spreads, Nepal cannot stop it since the government has not adopted high alertness against the possible outbreak. Therefore, the government should postpone the parliament meetings and schools for a certain time,” he argued.
