Nepali man dies of coronavirus in US

KATHMANDU, March 24: A Nepali man has died of COVID-10 in the United States on Tuesday, according to President of Nepali Public Relations Committee in the US Anand Bist.

“Committee member Anil Subba died of coronavirus in New York,” Bist wrote on his Facebook page.

Subba, who hails from Rani village of Panchthar, is also an active member of the Nepali Congress, according to him.

New York, which is under lockdown, is the virus epicenter of the US. The city has reported more than 12,000 confirmed cases and nearly 100 deaths.

The death toll in the US has surged to 560 with almost 44,000 declared cases, according to the AFP.
