Hetauda beginning COVID-19 test from today
HETAUDA, March 30: Hetauda is beginning the COVID-19 test at the Vector-Borne Diseases Research and Training Center on Monday.
According to Bagmati State Government’s Minister for Social Development Yuba Raj Dulal, the laboratory will be upgraded to be used for the testing of coronavirus.
“The swab specimen from the suspected coronavirus patients will be collected and tested at the laboratory itself,” he said.
“If anyone was found infected with coronavirus arrangements would be made for treating that person in Hetauda itself. The laboratory has been operated for the convenience of the people from various districts of State-2 as well,” he added.
The State Government has also set up 300 isolation wards including ICU facilities for keeping the coronavirus infected people. Isolation wards have been set up in 12 districts in Bagmati State.
On Sunday, the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences also began testing the COVID-19 for the first time outside the valley.
