Two dies at Bir Hospital, COVID-19 test underway
KATHMANDU, March 30: A 50-year-old male and a 34-year-old female have died at the Bir Hospital on Monday, according to the hospital.
The female patient was suffering from pneumonia was admitted to the emergency ward on Sunday evening while the male patient was suffering from high fever.
According to hospital director Dr. Kedar Century, the swab samples of both the deceased have been sent to the National Public Health Laboratory for possible coronavirus infection.
Century also said that the woman had returned from India only a few days ago.
Earlier, a COVID-19 suspected patient had also died at the Patan Hospital. His swab has also been sent to the national laboratory for tests.
