Nepal confirms sixth COVID-19 case
KATHMANDU, April 2: Nepal has confirmed its sixth case of coronavirus disease on Thursday.
“National Public Health Laboratory has confirmed that another person has tested positive for the COVID-19, which is the six case of Nepal,” said Spokesperson at the Health and Population Ministry Bikash Devkota said during a press briefing.
According to Devkota, the patient is a 65-year-old female from Baglung. She is a relative of the 19-year-old girl from Baglung who had earlier tested positive for the virus — the fifth case. They both had shared the same Qatar Airways flight QR 652 from Doha, Qatar in which another 19-year-old coronavirus patient had returned in Kathmandu from France on March 17. The girl was the second case tested positive on March 23.
So far, 1184 people have tested positive for the virus in the country.
