Three test positive as Nepal’s COVID-19 cases climb to nine

KATHMANDU, April 4: The number of coronavirus cases in Nepal has reached nine after three persons including a female were tested positive on Saturday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a 21-year-old male from Kailali who recently returned from Mumbai and a 41-year-old Utarakhannda returnee from Kanchanpur have tested positive for the virus.

A 34-year-old woman from Kailali district has become the first domestic infection in Nepal as she carried the virus from her 34-year-old relative, a Dubai returnee, who was tested positive — Nepal’s fourth and first case outside the valley — on March 27

They are undergoing treatment at the Seti Provincial Hospital.
