Govt withdraws decision to allow people to leave Kathmandu on Friday and Saturday
KATHMANDU, April 9: Hours after deciding to allow people stranded in Kathmandu to leave for their home town, the government has withdrawn the decision following objections from various quarters.
A meeting of the High-level Coordination Committee had earlier decided to allow the movement on Friday and Saturday.
“As the local and provincial government did not approve the idea, the decision to allow one-way movement of Friday and Saturday has been withdrawn,” the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers said.
