Nine Nepali envoys to donate their one month salary COVID-19 fund
KATHMANDU, April 12: Nine Nepali ambassadors leading Nepali diplomatic missions in various countries in the Middle East and Gulf countries are to contribute one month of their salary to the fund set up by the government for prevention and control of COVID-19 and to treat the infected.
The envoys deployed in Israel, Egypt, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Pakistan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) have decided to donate their salaries for this cause, according to Padam Sundas, Nepali ambassador to Bahrain.
Naradnath Bhardwaj is leading the Nepali embassy in Qatar while Dr. Anjan Shakya Nepali is at the helm of the Nepali embassy in Israel. Jhabindra Prasad Aryal is Nepal’s envoy to Egypt while Sharmila Parajuli Dhakal is serving in the Nepali embassy in Oman.
Similarly, Durga Prasad Bhandari is deployed in Kuwait as ambassador while Sewa Lamsal in Pakistan, Padam Sundas in Bahrain, Krishna Prasad Dhakal in UAE and Mahendra Pratap Singh Rajput in Saudi Arabia. RSS
