49 Nepalis infected with COVID-19 in Bahrain
KATHMANDU, April 18: Forty-nine Nepali migrant workers are suffering from COVID-19 in Bahrain so far, according to the Embassy of Nepal in Bahrain.
The embassy said 27 Nepalis living there were confirmed to have contracted the virus taking the total of Nepalis with COVID-19 to 49.
Bahrain has reported 1,754 cases with seven deaths.
The Bahrain government as decided to pardon the illegal migrants until December and has urged the workers who are living illegally there to become legal or leave Bahrain.The decision came into effect on April 7.
