Six more test positive as Nepal’s COVID-19 cases reach 75
KATHMANDU, May 3: Health and Population Ministry confirmed six more infections on Sunday making Nepal’s total to 75.
Issuing a press release in the evening, the ministry stated that six more persons were tested positive during a test at Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj.
Three males aged 16, 21 and 34 and three females aged 40, 55 and 60 have tested positive, the ministry added.
The ministry had earlier confirmed 10 infections—a 36-year-old male from Birgunj, Parsa and nine from Nepaljung aged between 7 to 58, the first time Nepal reported such large numbers of cases in a single day.
The 15 new cases alone also make Banke district the second most vulnerable zone after Udayapur district which has reported 28 cases alone. Parsa has 7 cases.
