Teaching Hospital employees “not infected” with COVID-19
KATHMANDU, May 15: No employees of the TU Teaching Hospital have been infected with the novel coronavirus pandemic, said the hospital.
After a six-year-old girl from Kapilvastu, who was undergoing treatment at the neuro ward of the hospital, was tested positive for the virus, the hospital had quarantined 38 health workers including doctors. Their throat swab samples were sent to a laboratory for COVID-19 tests.
“No doctors, officials and employees of the hospital are found infected,” said Prof Dr. Krishna Khadka, executive director at the hospital.
The girl has been kept at the isolation facility set up at the Ganesh Man Building. Her condition is normal.
