Nepal’s COVID-19 cases climb to 295

KATHMANDU, May 17: The Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed three new positive cases, taking Nepal’s total COVID-19 infections to 295.

According to a press release issued by the Assistant Spokesperson of the ministry, Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari, a 34-year-old female from Dhankuta; and a 29-year-old female and a 36-year-old male from Biratnagar, Morang have tested positive for the virus.

Earlier today, the ministry had confirmed one death and 10 new infections.

The virus death toll in Nepal has reached two.

The first fatality from the virus was reported on Saturday.
