Nepal’s COVID-19 cases cross 1800
KATHMANDU, June 1: The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed 13 more infections Monday evening, taking Nepal’s total COVID-19 cases to 1811.
According to a press release issued by the Assistant Spokesperson at the ministry, Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari, two males aged 17 and 36 from Nisdi rural municipality of Palpa district; a 6-year-old boy from Sarawal rural municipality of Nawalparasi; seven males (aged 19, 21, 26, 26, 27, 35 and 40) from Mayadevi rural municipality of Kapilvastu district; and a three-year-old girl and a 54-year-old male from Gaidahawa rural municipality of Rupandehi district have tested positive for the virus.
With this, Nepal has reported a record 239 cases in a single day today, and over 100 cases every day in the past one week.
Earlier, the ministry had confirmed 226 infections.
