Girl dies in home quarantine



KATHMANDU, June 20 : A girl died under home quarantine this afternoon at Jhimruk Rural Municipality-2 in Pyuthan district, Police Inspector of Pyuthan Bishnu Prasad Poudel confirmed.

The 11-year-old girl was staying under home quarantine despite she tested negative for coronavirus in the RDT.
The girl had arrived home from India on June 3 and was quarantined in Sarbodaya Secondary School for 14 days before going home. Her RDT was done on June 17.

Inspector Poudel said that the girl was a patient of kidneys and blood cancer.

The health workers are deployed to collect the swab of the lady for her PCR test to confirm the coronavirus infection on her.

Meanwhile, the result of PRC test of an individual who died under home quarantine in Gulmi came positive. A 69-year-old man from Chhatrakot Rural Municipality-5 in Gulmi district died on Thursday night. He had returned home from Indian city of Mumbai on June 7.

The man’s PCR test was conducted in Lumbini State Hospital, the information officer of Gulmi District Health Office Pashupati Acharya said.RSS
