Country witnesses 593 new cases in past 24 hours
KATHMANDU, June 26 : A total of 593 new cases of coronavirus including 107 women were reported in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population confirmed in a daily press briefing this afternoon.
With this, the total number of infected ones reached 11,755 including 1,249 women.
Ministry Spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam confirmed that three men in Kathmandu were also tested positive for the virus.
According to Dr Gautam, the new cases were seen in Morang, Jhapa, Sunsari, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Siraha, Achham, Baitadi, Bajhang, Bajura, Bara, Darchula, Gorkha, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Kapilvastu, Rautahat, Salyan, Nawaparasi East, Kathmandu, Sindhuli, Kaski, Lamjung, Baglung, Tanahun, Syangja, Arghakhanchi, Gulmi, Palpa, Rupandehi, Dang, Pyuthan and others.
The virus has spread across the country except in Rasuwa district.
Likewise, altogether 48 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours after complete recovery from the virus. So far, nearly 2,700 infected ones won the battle against the virus while the number of death toll reached 27.RSS
