Govt assigns three hospitals to treat COVID-19 patients

KATHMANDU, March 15: The government has assigned three hospitals in Kathmandu to treat the patients of coronavirus, said Minister for Health Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal on Sunday.

According to Dhakal, the government has entrusted Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital in Teku, Patan Hospital in Lagankhel and Kirtipur Hospital to take care of the patients infected with COVID-19 and patients showing symptoms of the pandemic.

He said that Nepal has carried out tests on some 464 persons but none of them have tested positive so far.

Nepal has only one confirmed case.

“The government is prepared to handle around 4,500 cases at once,” he said.
