Bird struck Himalayan Airlines avoids major mishap!

KATHMANDU, Aug 18: Himalayan Airlines was struck by a Bird while landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport earlier this morning.

The Airport was closed for a brief moment in order to secure the parameters and avoid any further incidents. Himalayan Airlines Flight H-9564 was landing from its origin at Doha. While landing at a relatively low altitude a bird struck the plane.

However no casualties of any kind have been reported. Incidents of collisions with birds have been common at the Tribhuvan International Airport. It is also common while at times life threatening with casualties in global aviation history.

No damage has been reported to the aircraft.
